Job Description:

Scope of Position
• To identify and contact prospective employers in the Healthcare Industry, act as a liaison between local employers and program participants, and identify job-related responsibilities and tasks through job analysis
• To provide support and assistance to program participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement
• This position requires an organized individual who can efficiently handle several responsibilities simultaneously

Essential Functions
• Establish working relationships with local Healthcare employers; interact with personnel and/or manager responsible for the hiring of new employees
• Solicit job openings from employers and organize detailed job descriptions in the Healthcare Industry
• Create opportunities for Paid Work Experiences and On-the-Job Training
• Review participant employment skills and match with active positions
• Assist with Job Club activities as needed
• Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed (participation, placement, etc.)
• Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment
• Create solutions to participant attendance problems
• Oversee participant activities
• Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up
• Ensure participant has necessary licenses, clearances and documentation to work in a healthcare related field
• Provide individualized assessment of work, family and personal development needs and opportunities
• Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed
• Maintain organized database of clients and keep detailed documentation of all contacts with clients
• Coordinate participant retention services and accommodate participant work schedules
• Document all participant contacts and activities in case notes and ensure that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contract. Maintain participant files as specified by contractor.
• Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with participants to aid in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment. This includes: assessment, individualized attention, coordination, and disbursement of Supportive Services.
• Ensure participants follow through with planned activities as outlined in contract with funding agency

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in business, education, human resources or related area is preferred
• Should have skills and experience in providing career development assistance and sales experience
• Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts
• Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
• Customer service experience preferred
• Should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Valid Driver’s License and an automobile are preferred
