Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented and caring intern that is in a four-year undergraduate degree program or a recent college graduate to join our spirited team. The length of the internship is 15-30 hours per week for 12-18 weeks beginning the first week of September. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to play an active role in workforce development at one of EDSI’s program offices. You will be paired with a mentor in your assigned office and work on projects and learning goals that are meaningful to you.

You will be responsible for participant file integrity, support and improvement of program operations, data capture, assisting with customer flow, and writing and generating reports. You will also oversee performance numbers related to invoicing and prescribed performance goals.

 Essential Functions

  • Ability to be highly organized, detail-oriented, follow deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, take initiative and manage personal workload

  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Passion for helping others

  • Work with staff to ensure customer flow, service delivery and data management are efficient and effective

  • Ensure data entered on the required system(s) is current and accurate

  • Retrieve and organize critical operations reports

  • Help present data and reports to leadership in a clear and effective manner, using graphs, tables and other methods

  • Create customer lists to support teams in focusing their efforts

  • Based on analysis, help determine where improvements can be made to center operations

  • Assist with staffing logistics

  • Implement and adhere to the Quality Assurance System

  • Provide research and support for critical team decisions

  • Work closely with mentor on center-related tasks

Experience and Skills:

  • Data analysis experience

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Previous experience with invoicing and billing

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
